Announcement from Orangeville Fire Department

The fire truck committee has received back the quote on the new fire engine and would like to invite the board members and public to the fire station on February 3rd at 7pm for an informational meeting. We are working with another department that has a truck similar to the one we have specified to have that on site as well. The goal of this meeting is to bring a better understanding to the board and public of what we have specified on the new truck and how it will help us better serve our township residents. This meeting will be held at the OV Fire Barn, 6921 S. Boulter Rd.

Litter Ordinance

Orangeville Township Board passes Litter Ordinance. Stipulations in this
ordinance state that any violation covered under Barry County Zoning
Ordinances will be enforced by the county enforcement officer.
Furthermore, violations received by the township be acted upon only after
voted upon by the board to proceed with complaint. It is not the
intention of the township to replace the duties of the county enforcement
officer, but to have authority to act when the county cannot.
Also in recent news: Township recognizes hemp as agricultural product per
recent changes in federal law and the Michigan Industrial Hemp Research
and Development Act, Public Act 641 of 2018.
