Orangeville Day 2021
Orangeville Day 2021 Event held on August 7th!
This was the 2nd annual Orangeville Day, a resurrection of Orangeville Days
that were held from 2006-2012. All funds raised are used to enhance our
playground and park. Last year’s event enabled the addition of a
merry-go-round to the playground. This spring the merry-go-round was
installed. Also this spring the Orangeville Day Committee organized a
facebook fundraiser of “donate a timber” where individuals donated the
cost of a landscape timber to replace the 15 year old playground landscape
timbers. Residents and community business members donated equipment and
volunteers who worked diligently replacing the timbers and spreading new
wood chips, giving the playground a much needed facelift. Thank you to
all the sponsors, vendors, attendees, volunteers and Orangeville Day
Committee for making this possible. Without the support of so many in our
community this wouldn’t be possible. Prior to this year’s event a
tetherball was also added to the playground by one of the sponsors. An
update of what’s next for our playground will be announced soon.

Township Cemeteries Online
Just want to share that Orangeville Cemeteries are now found on a website.
Please keep in mind, this list is still a work in progress. I have spent
the last couple years and over 300 hours currently in this project of
transferring information from paper ledgers to a software program. The
programmer of our cemetery software has done an amazing job in providing a
read access list of cemetery occupants and mapping the locations. Click
on the “alphabetical listing” to find occupants, and scroll down to open a
window with the maps of the sections of the cemeteries. I will continue
to work on entering additional information and this will be updated at a
later date once it is complete (this may take some months to do as I do
this when other duties allow me the time to work on this). When you
click on the link, scroll down to Cemetery Presentation and click on
Orangeville Cemeteries. Please be patient for the completion of this
project. Thank you! This is the link to the cemeteries:
