Notice of Public Hearing – Proposed Stage/Bandshell
The Orangeville Township Board will hold a Public Hearing on a Proposed Stage/Bandshell to be erected on the township park.
Date: December 16, 2024
Time: 6:30 pm
Place: Orangeville Township Hall, 7350 Lindsey Rd., Plainwell 49080.
Funded by: Orangeville Day, a local nonprofit organization.
Copy of the proposed stage construction and costs will be available for public inspection at the Township office. Residents may also submit comments which will be read at the meeting. Submit by mail at the location address above or email the Clerk, mrisnerogvclk@mei.net.

Residents give a heartfelt thank you to retiring Supervisor Tom Rook and Trustee Linda Ribble for their 20 years of service and dedication to Orangeville Township. Thank you to Trustee Chad Kraai for his service to the township as well. Orangeville was privileged to have had these outstanding representatives on our township board.
We would like to welcome the newly elected members of our township board. Supervisor Vivian Conner, Trustees Corey Ribble and Brittnee Risner will join reelected board members Clerk Mel Risner and Treasurer Michelle Ritchie.

Shall Barry County renew the previously authorized millage of 0.2367 mill per year, ($0.2357 per $1,000 of taxable value) upon all taxable real and personal property in the County for a period of (10) years, 2025 through 2034, both inclusive, subject to reduction as provided by law?

Plainwell Community Schools Bond Proposal
Shall Plainwell Community Schools, Allegan, Kalamazoo and Barry Counties, Michigan, borrow the sum of not to exceed Thirty-Nine Million Eight Hundred Thirty-Five Thousand Dollars ($39,835,000) and issue its general obligation unlimited tax bonds therefor, in one or more series, for the purpose of: erecting, furnishing, and equipping a new preschool building and additions to school buildings; remodeling, furnishing and refurnishing, and equipping and re-equipping school buildings, including for school security; and erecting, equipping, furnishing, preparing, developing, and improving playgrounds, athletic fields and facilities, and sites?

Absentee Ballots Available
Absentee Ballots for General Election on November 5, 2024 are now available! Absentee ballots are being mailed out the week of Sept. 30th. Anyone wanting an absentee ballot can apply online at www.michigan.gov/vote or stop in the clerk’s office Mon-Wed-Fri 9:30-1:30 with picture I.D. and pick one up.
Keep in mind, absentee ballots can be voted/tabulated during early voting or on election day as well as be returned by mail, drop box or at the clerk’s office.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that any qualified elector of Orangeville Township who is not already registered, may register to vote at the office of the Orangeville Township Clerk, the Office of the County Clerk, a Secretary of State branch office or other designated state agency; or can use the Online Voter Registration System at www.Michigan.gov/vote.
Voters who are already registered may update their registration at www.expressSOS.com.
The last day to register in any manner other than in-person with the local clerk is MONDAY, October 21, 2024. PUBLIC ACCURACY TESTING:
The Public Accuracy Test is conducted to demonstrate that the program and the computer that will be used to tabulate the results of the election have been prepared in accordance with the law.
