Orangeville Township Fire Department Reveals New Fire Engine!

Orangeville Township Fire Department reveals new fire engine! The Orangeville Firefighters Association hosted the reveal party on Saturday, June 3rd from 5-7 pm at the fire barn. Taco bar, cookies and drinks were provided by the association. Commemorative posters were available and children attending were given play fire helmets. Everyone in attendance agreed, the orange color of the engine was a perfect choice. The truck also has the American flag painted on the back and in the front grill. A special plaque honoring former fire chiefs is displayed on the truck as well. The purchase of this fire engine was made possible by the residents of Orangeville via a fire millage. The fire department is very appreciative of the support they receive from the residents and residents are grateful to their dedicated firefighters and first responders.
Oakhill Cemetery News
The township board has approved a new well and two water hydrants to be installed. These hydrants will be located midway of the cemetery. The old water system will remain functional to provide additional access to a water supply nearer the older section of the cemetery. Additionally, ARPA funds will be used to grade the cemetery drive and resurface with crushed asphalt this spring.
