Barry County Master Plan Update

The Barry County Planning Department is currently in the process of
updating its Master Plan. Through July and August, the county will be
conducting an online survey, and there will be public outreach
activities at a few local events. We would be thrilled to have as many
participants as possible to understand the needs and wants of people
across the entire county.

In order to get as much participation as possible, we would love it if
you would be willing to post a link to our landing page on the front
page of your community’s website. The landing page includes the survey
and shares the events that people will be able to talk to the Master
Plan team and share their insight in person. You can view our page at
https://www.barrylivebetter.com/ The survey will be open from July 1st
to August 1st, so ideally it would be available for those two months.

The team will be present at the Charlton Park Gas & Steam Engine Show,
the Barry County Fair, the Delton Founders Festival, the Gun Lake
Protective Association Annual Meeting, and Orangeville Day. McKenna is a
private planning firm which is working on behalf of the Barry County
Planning Department to assist with the creation of its new Master Plan.
The events will be attended by McKenna employees as well as County
officials, staff, and volunteers.
